On the other side of the river lies La Mauricie National Park, with its sandy beach ideal for swimming. The deep blue of the river, the sunrises and sunsets and the moon reflected on the water create a unique and memorable atmosphere.

The large private dock allows you to take full advantage of the nautical pleasures with 4 single kayaks and a rowboat with oars (life jackets not supplied). The private, calm, current-free bay at the foot of the chalet is perfect for paddling in peace and quiet, for children and adults alike. Lovers of relaxation will enjoy reading or contemplating on an Adirondack chair, while fishing enthusiasts can tease bass, muskellunge, pike or lake sturgeon, which are very present in the area.

You'll find five large bedrooms (5 Queen beds, 1 King bed, 2 bunk beds, 2 single folding beds, 2 Queen mattresses, 1 children's mattress and 1 playpen), a fully equipped kitchen, two spacious living rooms, three full bathrooms and a laundry room. The year-round four-season outdoor spa and therapeutic showers invite you to relax after an active day.

The master bedroom has its own private bathroom. Enjoy the outdoors from the patio with outdoor fireplace, the dock or the large glass balconies offering breathtaking river views. Inside, the main living room with cathedral ceiling and fireplace provides a warm, friendly atmosphere. A four-season BBQ, fondue stove, pool table, board games and Wi-Fi are also available.

Outdoor activities are plentiful and easily accessible. Snowmobile trails are accessible directly from the chalet and are less than 5 minutes away, while snowshoeing and cross-country ski trails are nearby. Bicycling, quad biking, hiking and snowshoeing are all great ways to explore the region's spectacular scenery. The Jacques Buteau national trail, which overlooks the river and crosses lakes and cliffs, is a must. The Musée du bûcheron, retracing over 100 years of history, completes the experience.

In winter, winter sports enthusiasts will be delighted. The Centre de glisse Vallée du Parc is less than 20 minutes away and offers downhill skiing, snowboarding, evening skiing and snow school for all ages. Mont SM (formerly Mont Saint-Mathieu) is also within easy reach. Snowmobile trails are accessible directly from the chalet, and snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are easily practiced in the surrounding area.
