Le Repère offers you paradise in the heart of the Mauricie region. Located in Saint-Roch-de-Mékinac, this splendid property is built very close to the edge of the Saint-Maurice River, offering a breathtaking view of the river panorama. On the other side of the river is the magnificent Parc de la Mauricie, overlooking a fine sandy beach ideal for swimming. The blue of the river on a sunny day, sunrises and sunsets, or the moon shining on the water, provide deep, unforgettable emotions.
The large private dock lets you take advantage of our water sports facilities: 4 single kayaks and 1 rowboat with oars (life jackets are not supplied). At the foot of the chalet, the large private bay, calm and current-free, will enable young and old alike to row in peace and quiet. The more romantic will set up an Adirondack chair on the dock, read a good book or let themselves be lulled by the sun's delicate rays. It's also the perfect time to put your fishing skills to good use, as this is a common activity in the area, with bass, muskellunge, pike and lake sturgeon the star fish.
Very popular with families, Le Repère offers generous interior space, with a living area of over 3,500 square feet, and can accommodate up to 14 people. It's ideal for discovering the beautiful Mauricie region, its nature and its colors.
The ultimate haven for telecommuting and shoulder-to-shoulder meetings! Here, an unlimited high-speed Internet connection will boost your productivity in an idyllic setting for your work groups, where the majestic St-Maurice River offers a breathtaking view. Our facilities guarantee comfort and privacy for every traveler, allowing you to combine work and nature for an unparalleled professional experience!
Le Repère offers every convenience for a "home away from home". You'll find a total of five generously-sized bedrooms (5 Queen beds, 1 King bed, 2 bunk beds, 2 single folding beds, 2 Queen mattresses, 1 children's mattress and 1 playpen), a magnificent fully-equipped kitchen, two very generous lounge areas, three full bathrooms and a laundry room. Enjoy a moment of relaxation in the outdoor spa (open year-round) or simply in one of the three therapeutic showers.
For added privacy, the master bedroom is adjacent to its private bathroom. Admire the outdoor space and splendid river views from the wooden patio (with outdoor fireplace), the dock or one of the large stacked glass balconies. Or warm up by the indoor fireplace in the generous cathedral-ceilinged main living room. Feel like cooking? A fondue stove and 4-season BBQ are also available to awaken the cook in you. Board games, a pool table and Wi-Fi internet access are available to keep young and old busy.
On the short-term rental market for several years now, Le Repère has built up a clientele that comes back again and again.
A wide range of activities are available nearby. Live, explore, discover and enjoy! Whether by bike, ATV or snowmobile (direct access to trails), on foot or on snowshoes, you'll find a wide range of outdoor activities. The Jacques Buteau national trail is a must for landscape admirers, as it overlooks the river and crosses lakes and cliffs. A rejuvenating experience that's priceless. Learn about history on vacation with a visit to the Musée du bûcheron 100 years of history, all in one place!
La Mauricie National Park preserves a cross-section of the greater southern Laurentian region. It provides access to 536 km2 of lakes and forests. In summer, the park offers cycling, hiking and portage trails, while in winter, you'll find groomed cross-country ski trails and snowshoe trails. Discovery activities help you understand and appreciate the park's natural and cultural resources! Snow sports enthusiasts will be delighted to discover nearby ski resorts such as the Centre de glisse Vallée du Parc, less than 20 minutes away, which offers downhill skiing, snowboarding, evening skiing and even a snow school for young and old. A little further afield, Mont SM (formerly Mont Saint-Mathieu) also offers ideal conditions for enjoying winter to the full.
