Le Josette-Élie - Cap-aux-Corbeaux - the path of my ancestors.

There are special places on earth.
Those who live there keep their mark forever,
handed down from generation to generation.

There are also special people,
who leave a trace of themselves in every stone,
in every breath of landscape.
Such is the case at Cap-aux-Corbeaux,
where the family has lived for six generations.

In 1865, Joseph Mailloux, from Île-aux-Coudres,
cleared and farmed these Cap lands.
Since then, the echoes of the place still tell us their story - in good weather and in strong winds.
rain or shine.

In 1926, my grandparents married here.
Pioneers in their own right, they built a home
where love of the land guided their every day.

Today, on this same land
stands Josette-Élie, a cottage imbued with serenity.
Here, you'll find the warmth of the home of yesteryear,
the comforts of today and the beauty of the river as far as the eye can see.

Bright living space,
living room with propane fireplace, convivial kitchen,
comfortable bedrooms and terraces overlooking the St. Lawrence River and the mountains of Le Massif de Charlevoix.
Here, wind, sea and memory come together.

At Cap-aux-Corbeaux, time stands still for a moment.
And in the evening, by the fire,
history continues to be told.
