Two-storey chalet on 60,000 sq. ft. of land on two plateaus, bordered by the river and very sunny from morning to night. A huge 20-foot-wide baywindow overlooks the water, as do the 10-foot-high ceilings. This chalet in the heart of the forest is 2 km from a small village with many services, including an SAQ, grocery store, restaurant and gas station.
A paradise for mountain bikers, federated trails are only 5 minutes away by 4-wheel drive, leaving directly from the chalet.
The first floor features a large kitchen with a wooden island and 2 counter chairs, with direct access to the gazebo. The gazebo is surrounded by mosquito netting overlooking the water and measures 14 feet by 14 feet, including a table with chairs and BBQ. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, cooking utensils, electric fondue set and coffee maker with reusable filter. The living room is equipped with a foosball table, 2 leather couches, 4k 50-inch TV, high-speed fiber optic internet, unlimited long-distance Canadian phone service.
The second floor, which overlooks the river, has 3 closed bedrooms and a powder room with laundry facilities.
You'll have access to the river, an outdoor fireplace with wood provided, chairs and swing for children.
The beautiful river is swimmable and the water is clear. In places, you have to be careful where there's a bit more current. There's one place where the rocks create a small barrier with a little pool to lie in. In some places, this is hollowed out by one or two feet, in others a little more.

You can kayak down 10 km of the Mekinac River. You start at the dam and head for the village of Saint-Joseph-De-Mékinac. You'll need to bring your own kayaks.

The price for the first two nights is always $550, which includes housekeeping, and then $178 per night. The 6th and 7th nights are less expensive. Except during construction weeks, these are 7-night minimums.
