The space is spread over 3 floors, all with magnificent views of the lake. Heating is electric, complemented by a Vermont Castings fireplace in the living room.
The décor is light, in calm, natural tones. The floors are old-growth pine installed the old-fashioned way, with slats of varying widths.
Some of the furniture was made at La Belle Vieillerie in Bromont, combined with family antiques, antique wrought-iron beds and drawings by the owner, a Montreal artist.
The first floor is open plan with living room, fireplace, library, dining room and large entrance to the kitchen. It's a luminous space with 3 large triple patio doors and several other windows offering unparalleled views of the lake. Access to the deck, which circles the house, is via the patio doors, the front door and the side door near the kitchen. The deck is an ideal place to relax in the sun or shade, and to enjoy a family BBQ (propane included). A small bedroom with half bath off the main entrance is ideal for grandparents, babysitters or occasional visitors.
A central pine staircase leads to the 2nd floor, where you'll find 4 bedrooms. The master bedroom is spacious with ensuite bathroom (shower), 4 windows and double patio doors to a private balcony.
The other 3 bedrooms each have 2 windows with lake views, except for one bedroom which opens onto the entrance to the house. There is a 2nd bathroom (bath) for all three bedrooms. All bed linen and towels are provided. Just bring your own soap and shampoo.
The central staircase also takes you to the semi-basement floor with 5 large windows and lake views. This is a very comfortable area with large sofas... An ideal space for family relaxation to watch TV, movies, netflix, video games and have a good game of ping pong. There's also a separate laundry room with washer, dryer, iron and ironing board and central vac. There's also a 2nd fridge that lets you store extra food and drinks. What's more, there's a storage area with external exit for your skis, boots and boards.
All in all, it's a truly enchanting site that's sure to tame you with its watery sounds... Soothing by day and soporific by night, abundant birdsong, water reflections, multicolored sunsets in winter, and quite simply the fresh country air that circulates at all times...
