The museum is located in the heart of Knowlton (Town of Brome Lake). Easily accessible, it includes a number of buildings: the former fire station; a children's museum; the Martin annex, home to a First World War aircraft, one of the few in the world in perfect condition; the former courthouse, dating from 1858 and now home to the museum's archives; the former Knowlton Academy and more. Our museum boasts the largest collection of First World War artifacts outside the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa. The Knowlton Founder's House was added to the site in October 2014. The Brome Lake Museum is the perfect place for history lovers to enjoy a memorable family outing.
