Located in the museum district, in a magnificent heritage building in the heart of downtown, the Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke has been a major player in the conservation and dissemination of the visual arts in the region since it was founded in 1982. Its mission is to preserve, discover and appreciate the undeniable artistic wealth of the fine arts of Quebec and the Eastern Townships. In addition to the permanent exhibition Couleurs Manifestes, the Musée presents a wide variety of daring temporary exhibitions each year, some of which take the form of retrospectives of emblematic Quebec artists. Its mediation program introduces a wide audience to the world of art.
