With the highest lock in Canada, the Carillon Canal offers a spectacular stop. Equipped with a 200-ton sash gate, the lock allows boats to negotiate a vertical drop of over 20 meters. The park is perfect for picnics, strolls or kayak trips, to observe the operation of the lock and enjoy the beauty of the natural landscape. The site is accessible by bike from the VéloRoute d'Argenteuil (Route verte 1). Stop off at the museum to admire the history of 19th-century voyageurs along the Ottawa River.
