It all began here, on rich soil, under clear skies; where the air is pure and the water crystal-clear. The waters of the Sainte-Anne River follow their path. The Laurentian mountains define the horizon and embrace the land.

This is where, in 1842, young Alexis Cayer and his wife Jane Skinner settled in what was to become the village of Saint-Raymond de Portneuf, Québec. The unique character of the region became part of their soul.
