In 2004, owners Stéphane Tremblay and Chantale Lalancette realized their dream of building a cheese dairy and making artisan cheeses from their herd's milk. Six generations of farmers have succeeded one another on the heritage land where the Ayrshire cows in the Fromagerie l'Autre Versant herd are raised. The cows are treated with respect and fed a diet based mainly on fresh pasture grasses and natural dry hay.
